Our Yearly Activities

Plant Sale
In May, the Club holds a plant sale for the public. This is our most important fund-raiser. The Club relies on the money raised to support our Philanthropic activities.

Garden Tours
We have two tours annually. One summer Saturday afternoon is spent visiting members who have invited us to tour their gardens. The second summer tour is spent visiting gardens and/or Nurseries owned by non members either locally or, more usually, outside our club area. Transportation may be arranged by car pools.

Annual Horticultural Show
This is held each August and is open to both Club members and the general public. This is a judged competition but ample opportunity is provided for those who wish to just display their gardening successes. This is an opportunity for people to enjoy seeing the best of flower, vegetable and baking displays in a congenial atmosphere. A tea is provided, allowing a place to sit and chat. September Social
Before the September meeting we enjoy either a Harvest Pot Luck or a Corn Boil. At present this is held at the Wolfville Farmers Market.

Annual General Meeting
Our AGM, held in November, takes the form of a banquet with reports, election of officers, presentation of awards and a speaker. It is held in a different venue each year

NSAGC Annual Convention
We are members of the Nova Scotia Association of Garden Clubs (NSAGC) and attend their Annual Convention. Each spring we have a District Meeting with other member garden clubs in our area.
